Electroplating Services

For over five decades Electro-Spec, Inc. has been providing award winning electroplating and electroless plating services to customers with demanding applications including lifesaving and safety critical parts. Plating is available in precious and semi-precious materials including gold, silver, nickel, copper, Tri-M3™ (Tri-Alloy), electroless and electrolytic nickel in thicknesses 5 to 500 µin. We plate over a number of non-ferrous and ferrous material substrates including brass, copper, carbon steel, stainless steel, nickel, phosphorous, and Kovar among others, on parts up to 12" wide. Available methods include barrel, wire, selective, vibratory, and fully automated PLC controlled high speed rack capabilities. We are proud to offer the specially designed Spouted Bed Electrode (SBE) electroplating process for micro-sized active components less than 1 cm in size. Our specialized micro miniature plating capabilities cater to this new generation of parts without the issues traditionally associated with plating mini components.

Developed pre-plating operations include vacuum vapor degreasing, and special cleaning. Our plating is a cost effective and reliable way to impart an abrasion, chemical, temperature and corrosion resistant protective coating, as well as EMI/RFI shielding and longevity. All work takes place in our newly expanded, state-of-the-art ISO certified facility, with available real time monitoring and control during all phases of production.
