How large of a part can you plate?

A. We predominantly specialize in small parts ranging in size from extremely small (small enough to hold several thousand in the palm of your hands) to parts approximately 12″ x 12″ in size. We will review larger parts on a case-by-case basis.

What types of material do you plate on?

We plate on all Copper Alloys, Steel Alloys, and Nickel Alloys. We currently cannot plate on aluminum, magnesium, titanium or any types of plastic.

What is your standard lead time?

Our standard lead time is between 3 to 4 days. We can expedite your order in 24 hours if necessary, in order to accommodate those “Hot” requests.

What is the maximum plating thickness you can plate to?

We specialize in thinner deposits, which are from 5 micro-inches up to 1000 micro-inches (.15 microns to 26 microns).

Can you do prototypes and engineering samples?

Yes – we frequently work with engineers on developing new product lines and concepts. We can consult in all phases of the design process to ensure that the ultimate results are the desired results.

Quality Questions

What quality certifications or designations to you currently possess?

We presently are ISO 9001:2008, AS 9100:2009 and ISO 14001 certified.

What type of inspection equipment and capabilities do you have?

We have a variety of capabilities with regard to testing equipment for both our Inspection Departments as well as our Chemical Laboratory. We have X-Ray Fluorescence, ICP (Inductively Coupled Plasma), AA Spectroscopy (Atomic Absorption), Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM), and a variety of both metallurgical and analytical capabilities for failure analysis, alloy analysis and metallographic studies.

What kind of documentation do you provide with each order?

We provide a Certificate of Conformance with every order that we ship. We also provide a Packing List that is bar-coded; detailing what is included with the shipment. We also have the capability to provide you with barcodes for your process to incorporate the orders into your system. We are “Dock to Stock” with several customers and we can incorporate your EDI system into our system.

Do you conduct incoming inspection?

Our quality system mandates that we do various degrees of incoming inspection on all parts that we receive. Some customers are designated as “Critical”, and those customers will get a more extensive incoming inspection. This will include visual (microscope), pre-plate dimension checks, cleanliness checks, part count verification (calibrated scales), and magnetism (Gauss) for steel parts.

Service Questions

Are you EDI compliant?

Yes – our entire facility is EDI compliant and we use this system for not only production, but inventory control as well. We also can incorporate your EDI system into ours to facilitate order receipt at your facility.

How do I schedule and expedite my orders?

We have several trained and qualified people to assist you with your order. However, we are one of the only plating companies that allow you to “assist yourself”. All of our customers can access their orders on our website. They can check status, expedite, change ship methods or simply track the orders as they are processed through our facility. Additionally, we provide the shipping detail which is hyperlinked to the freight company’s website to automatically provide tracking detail (UPS, FedEx, etc. ). We also provide online copies of the Packing Lists and Inspection C of C’s, so that you can download these as well.

Can you drop ship my parts to another company?

Absolutely – with both our EDI system and our Online Tracking System, we can drop ship and instantaneously provide you with the tracking detail and paperwork of where the parts are shipping.

What types of payment methods do you accept?

We accept company check, wire transfer, Visa, MasterCard and of course “cash”. Our payment terms are “Net 30” and we can negotiate discounts for early payment if required.
