In addition to offering high-quality specialty plating services, Electro-Spec, Inc. offers heat treating, annealing, and stress relieving services suitable for a range of copper alloy and nickel alloy materials. Our process annealing capabilities go up to 1,000 °F, carried out in a protective nitrogen environment to eliminate heat scale. Parts are prepared in a specialized pre-treating process, which includes vacuum vapor degreasing and thorough cleaning. Post-treatment, a hydrogen embrittlement relief process is administered, performed in line with AMS QQ-N-290 specifications. Typical parts treated include contacts and crimp tubes, with acceptable part sizes up to 12″ in width.
A full range of testing and inspections are carried out to ensure accuracy and integrity, and rigorous quality controls are in place including statistical process control and customized web-based tracking. All processing is carried out at our newly expanded state-of-the-art facility and upholds the highest industry standards. Our heat treating and annealing processes ensure improved overall performance, enhanced long-term durability, and improved machining properties of high-performance components.
